Damn its windy.

You know you live in a building that was built by the cheapest contractors when the corners of the windows aren't at right angles. Not really a problem until the wind picks up and starts to howl from the small cracks in the window frame!

And don't get me started on the walls.. which are all flat - which is ok until the tiler used bubble gum to glue the tiles to walls.

bah hum bug.

Nissin Ads

I've always wanted to make noodles the traditional way.

Better yet.. gravity free... with no border.

For the inner-neoanderthal in all of us.

peace will come to the world when the people have enough to eat

(Friday 5th January 2007)

Regular readers will know of my love of Nissin noodles. So it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the founder of my beloved Nissin noodle, OSAKA (Kyodo) Momofuku Ando, has died aged 96.

He invented the instant noodle after seeing a line of solders (during World War 2) waiting to buy some black market ramen. It was the realisation that "peace will come to the world when the people have enough to eat" according to Nissin Food Products Co.

ANDO, may your noodle never be short.
Your broth always hot.
and your stomach never empty.
Long live your instant noodle.
